Our Story
Pholeo was founded by two lifelong friends and event industry veterans, Gregory Perrine and Rocio Aldana, determined to revolutionize how events are planned and executed. Gregory and Rocio grew up together in Rockford, Illinois, moved to Chicago for college, and built careers across events, hospitality, and operations.
The spark for Pholeo came in 2023, when Gregory managed a 2,500-person conference using a patchwork of disconnected tools. Frustrated by the inefficiencies, he envisioned a single platform to unify specs, budgets, timelines, and production. He shared the concept with Rocio whose experience scaling standards for hundreds of events per year shaped the product’s practical, on-the-ground design and together they turned a working prototype to a ready to launch product in months.
Launched in June 2024, Pholeo was immediately put through its paces, supporting three back-to-back events of 16,000+ attendees in August and September. After proving the platform under real-world pressure, the team set its sights on bringing this modern, paperless approach to event planners everywhere.
